A Message from the 2011 Campaign Chairperson

Sonja BrownDear Fellow Federal Employees and Military Personnel:

Welcome to the 50th Anniversary of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)! I am looking forward to yet another successful campaign year. For those who are not familiar with the CFC, its mission is to support and promote philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all Federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. Begun in the 1960s by Executive Order, the CFC continues to be the world's largest and most successful annual workplace giving campaign. In 2010, we raised $1,659,765 to assist local and national charities in their efforts to help others. In the past three years, we have seen a 19.4% increase in pledges received. In addition, in the past three years, the average per person gift has increased by 24.4%. These numbers prove that in spite of tough economic times, our employees dig deep to show their support of communities within our state, internationally and nationwide.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated by the agencies listed in this charity booklet. Without your support, they would not be able to enrich the lives of those less fortunate. Please take a few moments to look through this booklet and seek out a charity that has meaning to you. I assure you that any amount that you can contribute will be appreciated.

On behalf of the members of our Local Federal Coordinating Committee and Marketing Committee, I want to thank our campaign workers and all Federal and military employees for your devotion and service to our Nation. Your generosity helps improve the quality of life for those less fortunate and serves to invest in our Nation’s greatest resource…our people.

With Sincere Appreciation,
